wHAT WE DO
The Royal Canadian Army Cadets appeal to teenagers aged 12 to 19
craving exciting outdoor activities.
Army cadets develop abilities in the use of map and compass, GPS Technology, orienteering, first-aid,
camping and survival, canoeing and other adventure related activities. They will also learn to become outdoor leaders.
Army cadets are also involved in ceremonial events and citizenship activities.
Army cadets progress from being a part of the activities to leading them.
Cadets is free. Cadets is sponsored by the Department of Defence,
the Army Cadet League of Canada, and the 1955 Army Cadets Society.
Summer Training
Army Cadets may also be selected for summer training from 1 to 8 weeks in length.
Courses include:
- Drill and Ceremonial
- Expedition
- Marksmanship
- Music
- Pipe Band
- Sports and Fitness
- Leadership and Challenge
Advanced cadets may be selected to go on an international exchange, get qualified as a Basic Military Parachutist, or complete on the job training.
